Alpha2EQ - A Regenerative Equine Treatment

If your horse has Equine Asthma, Alpha 2M may be an option!

Alpha 2M is a biological anti-inflammatory. We draw your horse's blood and process it with a kit made by Astaria to get a concentrated amount of Alpha 2M that can then be injected back into joints, around soft tissue structures, and now offering nebulization into the lower airway. Alpha 2M is a nonspecific protease inhibitor that allows for natural reduction in the inflammatory pathway without using steroids with potentially harmful side effects.

We have been using Alpha 2M as a regenerative option for osteoarthritis and for soft tissue trauma. We have recently added a nebulizer to the practice and are excited to use this same product on some of our patients with Equine Asthma. Because Alpha 2M is a non-steroidal option it is safe for pregnant mares, Cushing's horses, and horses with insulin dysregulation.
